“The Irish Honeybee” (2024)
Animated infographic | College Brief
Created as part of a university assignment focused on transforming factual information into a dynamic visual experience. The brief required interpreting scientific text into an animated educational piece
I designed and animated a 3D scene that combines stylized realism with clean composition, centering around the biology and structure of Irish honeybee species. Special attention was given to lighting, rigging, and motion timing to balance aesthetic impact with clarity.
Software: Cinema 4D, Redshift, After Effects
Techniques: 3D modeling, Rigging, Animating, Lightning
“Dublin Winter Lights” (2024)
Projection Mapping Installation | College Brief In collaboration with Dublin City Council & French Embassy
Created as part of a public facing brief for Dublin Winter Lights 2024, this project involved designing an abstract, non-narrative projection-mapped animation for the facade of the historic Newcomen Bank near Dublin Castle
The brief emphasised artistic experimentation and site specific design using the building as a canvas for immersive, non-linear visual storytelling. My approach focused on spatial rhythm and light interplay to simulate reactive energy across architectural space
Software: Cinema 4D, X-Particles
Technique: 3D modeling, Simulation
“Untitled” (May 2025)
Compositing Practice | Self-Initiated Project
An experimental study in integrating 3D animation with real-world footage. The main objective was to explore compositing workflows, simulate interaction with environment lighting, and test scale, perspective, and spatial presence in a natural landscape
The piece features a rigged and animated Medusa emerging from the sea composited into live action coastal footage shot in Howth. The workflow involved motion tracking, lighting matching, and fine tuning FX behavior using X-Particles and modifiers
Software: Cinema 4D, Redshift, X-Particles, Unreal Engine, After Effects
Technique: Rigging, Lightning, Motion Tracking, Simulation, Compositing
“K2” (Dec 2024)
Interior Concept & Visualization | Independent Design for “The Summit Inn” (Howth)
This project involved designing and visualising a proposed event space renovation for The Summit Inn pub in Howth. Starting from an empty room and minimal input (basic layout and preferred wall colors), I developed the entire interior concept, including spatial organisation, material palette, lighting design, and atmosphere
The goal was to create a clean, modern multipurpose space suitable for events, while still aligning with the venue’s existing architectural character. The final output included 3D renders and animated walkthroughs
Software: Cinema 4D, Redshift, Unreal Engine
Technique: 3D Modeling, Lightning, Animation
“Heard/Seen” (Apr 2025, fragments)
Experimental Film & Audio Archive Entry | NCAD x Living Archive Initiative
This project explores the architectural and emotional evolution of NCAD, how the college expanded from its original building on Kildare Street to occupying the former John's Lane Distillery, layering new structures over old foundations
Working within the framework of the Heard/Seen archive, I used recorded interviews, visual fragments, and stylised cinematography to evoke the quiet melancholy of spatial change, as the loss of textures, echoes, and atmospheres that once defined the original architecture
Rather than critique modernisation, the film reflects on the tension between memory and transformation. What remains seen, what’s heard in silence, and what fades.
Software: Cinema 4D, DaVinci Resolve, Unreal Engine
Method: Shooting, 3D Modeling, Animation, Video Editing, Lightning, Colour Correction, SFX
“Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky” (Feb 2025)
Environmental Visualization | Concept for Forest Restaurant in Ukraine
A location-based concept design for a future forest style restaurant in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky, Ukraine. The goal was to create a visual identity for an outdoor venue that blends natural textures with stylised architecture, using cinematic lighting and atmosphere to communicate mood and purpose
Working from a basic idea and reference materials, I designed the full 3D environment, modeled all key elements, and animated a camera walkthrough in Unreal Engine. The concept emphasises spaciousness, flow, and harmony with nature. Suitable for presentations, fundraising, or development planning
Software: Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine
Method: 3D Modeling, Animation, Lighting, Colour Correction, Environmental Storytelling

“Bar” (2023)
Visual Motion Test | College Brief
A purely aesthetic sequence focused on composition, object motion, and material behavior. Created as part of a design challenge to produce a visually engaging loop without narrative, emphasising mood, form, and simulation
The animation features a stylised bar scene with dynamic object motion controlled via splines and modifiers, rendered in monochrome lighting with glass and reflective materials
Software: Cinema 4D, Redshift
Methods: Lighting, Spline Animation, Simulation, Render Styling
“K2” Adaptive Redesign
(Mid June 2025)
Interior Concept & Visualization | Independent Design for “The Summit Inn” (Howth)
Phase I (Dec 2024) – Full event space redesign proposal with flexible layout, light palette, and open seating
Phase II (June 2025) – Scaled-down version due to budget constraints. Focus shifted to lighting, bar experience, and compact atmosphere
Same space, different strategy.
Design adjusted to fit real-world limits, without losing the atmosphere
Software: Cinema 4D, Redshift, Unreal Engine
Method: 3D Modeling, Lightning, Animation
